Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model assisted by PhET Colorado media on the numeracy ability of fourth grade elementary school students. This research uses quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type using a Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were fourth-grade students in Cluster 8, Madiun Regency, totaling 59 students. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling, obtaining a sample 25 students consisting of 15 students from SDN Sirapan 01 the experimental class and 10 students from SDN Sirapan 02 as the control class. Data collection techniques used tests and documentation. Data analysis techniques included prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity tests), balance tests, and hypothesis testing using independent sample t-test. The results showed that average posttest score of the experimental class was 83.07, higher than the control class which obtained an average score of 73.60. The independent sample t-test results obtained significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, so H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant influence of the TGT cooperative learning model assisted by PhET Colorado media on the numeracy ability of fourth-grade elementary school students.
