Abstract

This study was motivated by students’ low digital literacy and the limited availability of interactive learning media. The purpose of this study was to develop and assess the feasibility of an interactive e-book for fourth-grade physical geography material. This was a research and development (R&D) study using the ADDIE development model. The study was conducted at SDN Jiwan 02 with 14 fourth-grade students as research subjects. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, expert validation questionnaires (content, media, and language), teacher and student response questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis involved calculating the percentage scores from the validation and response questionnaires. The results showed that the content expert validation achieved a percentage of 94%, the media expert validation 94%, and the language expert validation 83%, with an average of 90.33% (Highly Feasible); teacher response results at 93%; student response results at 87.18%, with an overall average of 90.23%, indicating that the e-book learning medium is highly suitable for use. Based on these results, it can be concluded that interactive e-book learning media are deemed highly suitable for use in teaching the “Physical Geography” topic in fourth-grade elementary school science. This study is recommended for further development across different subject areas and educational levels.
