Abstract

This study has the following objectives: (1) to find differences in poetry writing abilities between students taught with the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach and students taught with the behavioristic approach, (2) to find differences in poetry writing abilities between students with high HOTs and students with low HOTs, (3) to find interactions between the use of learning approaches and HOTs in influencing poetry writing abilities. The study was conducted in Grade 5 of SDN Se￾Gugus 2, Margomulyo District, Bojonegoro, in the 2025/2026 Academic Year, using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research design. Data collection techniques used tests and questionnaires, and data analysis techniques used two-way ANOVA statistical techniques. The results of the study concluded: (1) there are differences in poetry writing abilities of students taught with a contextual approach and students taught with a behavioristic approach of grade IV students of SDN Se￾Gugus I, Margomulyo District, Bojonegoro Regency, in the 2025/2026 Academic Year; (2) there is a difference in the poetry writing ability of students with high-level thinking skills in the high category and students with low-level thinking skills in the fourth grade of elementary school students in Cluster I, Margomulyo District, Bojonegoro Regency, 2025/2026 academic year; (3) there is an interaction between the use of learning approaches and high-level thinking skills in influencing the poetry writing ability of fourth grade students in Elementary Schools in Cluster I, Margomulyo District, Bojonegoro Regency, 2025/2026 academic year.
