Improving Descriptive Writing Skills through the Think Talk Write Model Assisted by Visual Image Media for Sixth-Grade Students at SD Negeri Bareng 1, Sugihwaras District, Bojonegoro Regency. Keywords: descriptive writing skills, Think Talk Write, image media, classroom action This study aims to improve the descriptive writing skills of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri Bareng 1, Sugihwaras District, Bojonegoro Regency, through the implementation of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model assisted by visual image media. The study is motivated by students’ low descriptive writing skills, which are caused by limited vocabulary, difficulty in developing ideas, and teacher-centered learning that does not optimally utilize instructional media. This research employed a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were sixth-grade students of SD Negeri Bareng 1. Data were collected through observation, descriptive writing tests, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive and quantitative techniques. The results indicate that the application of the Think Talk Write model assisted by image media effectively improves students’ descriptive writing skills in terms of content development, text organization, word choice, and language accuracy. In addition, students’ learning motivation, participation, and creativity also increased. Therefore, the Think Talk Write model assisted by image media is proven to be an effective alternative learning strategy to enhance descriptive writing skills in elementary school students.
