Improving Storytelling Skills Using Paired Storytelling Technique Assisted by Visual Media for Grade V Students of SDN Sugihwaras 2, Sugihwaras District, Bojonegoro Regency. Theses. Keywords: storytelling, paired storytelling, visual media This study aims to describe and explain (1) the use of paired storytelling techniques assisted by visual media can improve the speaking skills of fifth-grade students of SDN Sugihwaras 2, Sugihwaras District, Bojonegoro Regency, (2) the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of SDN Sugihwaras 2, Sugihwaras District, Bojonegoro Regency in learning speaking skills using paired storytelling techniques assisted by visual media, and (3) What are the advantages and disadvantages that arise in learning speaking skills using paired storytelling techniques assisted by visual media for fifth-grade students of SDN Sugihwaras 2, Sugihwaras District, Bojonegoro Regency. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) the application of cooperative Paired Storytelling assisted by visual media can improve students' storytelling skills in speaking learning in fifth-grade students of SDN Sugihwaras 2, Sugihwaras District, Bojonegoro Regency. This is evidenced by teacher activity in cycle I of 3.33% and student activity in cycle I of 3.58%. Meanwhile, in cycle II, there was an increase in teacher activity of 3.91% while student activity also increased by 3.90%. Student responses in understanding speaking material using the application of cooperative Paired Storytelling assisted by visual media were 97.1%., (2) the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN Sugihwaras 2, Sugihwaras District, Bojonegoro Regency in learning speaking skills using paired storytelling techniques assisted by visual media increased. This was proven in cycle 1, the percentage of individual completion was 74.28%. In cycle II, the percentage of completion was 91.42%. and (3) The advantages that emerged in learning speaking skills using paired storytelling techniques assisted by visual media for fifth grade students of SDN Sugihwaras 2, Sugihwaras District, Bojonegoro Regency were increasing motivation, narrative understanding, self-confidence, and the ability to express ideas because visualization helps understanding and pair interaction encourages verbal practice, but the disadvantages arise from the gap in ability, and developing complex vocabulary, especially for those who are less accustomed to telling stories.
