Keywords: writing, description, method, and role playing This research aims to describe and explain (1) the planning of the role playing learning method using image media in learning descriptive text writing skills for Class V students at SDN 2 Klodan, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency, (2) the implementation of the role playing learning method using image media in learning skills writing descriptive text for Class V students at SDN 2 Klodan, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency, and (3) learning outcomes for class V students at SDN 2 Klodan, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency in learning to write descriptive text using the role learning method playing with image media. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. The results of this research are (1) the planning of the role playing learning method using image media in learning descriptive text writing skills for Class V students of SDN 2 Klodan, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency, was carried out by the teacher well and efficiently because the teacher made the learning plan, (2) Implementation of learning using The role playing method using image media in learning descriptive text writing skills for class V students at SDN 2 Klodan, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency went smoothly and in accordance with the plans that had been made with the sequence of preliminary, core and closing activities, and (3), Research conducted by SDN 2 Klodan, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency on the use of the role playing method using image media in the descriptive text writing skills of class V students can be declared effective and there has been improvement. This can be seen from the students' scores which have increased and reached the predetermined KKM, namely 75.
