Wheni Ika Prawido. 2025. The Use of Virtual Learning Companions in Writing Instruction for Third Grade Students at SDN 3 Kedungbanteng, Sukorejo Subdistrict, Ponorogo Regency. Thesis. Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisor I: Dr. Dwi Setiyadi, MM, Supervisor II: Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, SS, M.Pd This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and the advantages and disadvantages of using Virtual Learning Companions (TBV) in writing instruction for third grade students at SDN 3 Kedungbanteng. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects included one classroom teacher, 20 students, and the school principal. The findings indicate that the planning of TBV was based on students' needs to improve their writing skills. The implementation involved interactive sessions with virtual dialogue, guided questions, and writing exercises. The results revealed that students were more motivated, enthusiastic, and confident in writing after using TBV. The quality of students' writing improved in terms of paragraph development, sentence structure, and idea organization. The advantages of TBV include being engaging, communicative, and helpful in facilitating students’ writing. However, its limitations involve dependence on technology and the continued need for teacher guidance. In conclusion, the use of Virtual Learning Companions is effective in enhancing the writing process and outcomes for elementary students when implemented thoughtfully and systematically.
