Abstract

ABSTRACT Hariyati, (2025) Implementation of Multisensory Approach in Writing Learning Grade 3 SDN Sendangrejo Dolopo District Madiun Regency, Thesis, Indonesian Language Studies Program Graduate Program, PGRI University Madiun. Supervisor (1) Dr. Dwi Setiyadi, MM., Supervisor (2) Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, SS, M. Pd. Keywords: multisensory approach, writing learning This study aims to (1) describe and explain the implementation of a multisensory approach in the writing learning of grade 3 students of Sendangrejo SDN Dolopo sub-district. (2) To describe and explain the obstacles encountered in the application of the multisensory approach to Indonesian language learning in grade 3 of SDN Sendangrejo, Dolopo sub-district. (3) describe and explain teachers’ and students’ perceptions of the use of multisensory approaches in writing skills learning. The results of the study showed that (1) The implementation of the multisensory approach in writing learning in SDN Sendangrejo, Dolopo District, Madiun Regency has had a positive impact on the improvement of students’ writing skills in grade 3. This approach involves the use of various senses to facilitate students’ understanding and retention of information. (2) There are various obstacles in the implementation of the multisensory approach to writing learning in grade 3 SDN Sendangrejo, Dolopo District, Madiun Regency, the solutions that have been discussed can help overcome these obstacles. With the support of all parties, including teachers, parents, and the government, this approach can be implemented effectively and have a positive impact on the development of students’ writing skills. (3) Overall, teachers’ and students’ perceptions of the use of the multisensory approach in writing learning at Sendangrejo SDN were generally positive. While there are challenges to overcome, the benefits of this approach far outweigh it. With proper training and adequate support, the multisensory approach can be a highly effective tool in improving students’ writing skills and creating an enjoyable and meaningful learning experience. In conclusion, this approach not only improves students’ academic skills but also prepares them to face future challenges with more confidence.
