Abstract

This study aims to narrate and explain two aspects. First, the implementation of the productive creative learning strategy with the aid of picture media to improve narrative writing skills of sixth-grade students at SDN Bangunsari 02, Dolopo District, Madiun Regency. Second, the students’ learning outcomes after the application of this strategy. This research employed classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The findings revealed a significant improvement. In the first cycle, the average student activeness score was 2.84, which increased to 3.25 in the second cycle. Narrative writing skills also improved, from an average score of 67.25 in the first cycle to 83.54 in the second cycle. This progress was also reflected in product-based learning outcomes, which increased from an average of 80 to 86.71. Furthermore, the students’ classical learning mastery increased dramatically, from 68.5% in the first cycle to 96.25% in the second cycle, with the lowest score being 25 and the highest score 100. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of the productive creative learning strategy with picture media successfully enhanced students’ skills and learning outcomes in writing narrative texts.
