Keywords: reading, drill method, and visual media This research aims to describe and explain (1) the use of the drill method assisted by visual media can improve the reading skills of class II students at SDN Tambakmas 02, Kebonsari District, Madiun Regency, and (2) the learning outcomes of class II students at SDN Tambakmas 02, Kebonsari District, Madiun Regency in learning to read using the method. drill assisted by visual media. This research is classroom action research using three cycles. The results of this research are (1) the use of the drill method assisted by visual media in Indonesian language learning in class II at SDN Tambakmas 02. It can be concluded that the teacher's activity value when managing learning using the drill method on reading text aloud material is 69.11% in the good category. Cycle II 91.17% in the very good category. The value of students' activity on reading text aloud using the drill method to improve students' reading skills in cycle I was 77.94% in the good category, cycle II 95.58% in the very good category. (2) The learning outcomes of class II students at SDN Tambakmas 02 using the drill method assisted by visual media can improve students' reading skills or students' learning completeness. This can be seen from the results of the analysis of 3 students who have not achieved completeness individually, while the number of students who have completed it is 20 people with a percentage of 86.95% both individually and classically. Based on this analysis, students have reached the specified KKM.
