Abstract

The development of information technology has had a significant impact across various sectors, including education. One of its implementations is the digitalization of libraries, which were previously managed manually. SMP Negeri 3 Kedunggalar is a secondary education institution that promotes a reading culture among students. However, its library management is still conventional, with manual recording of collections and loan transactions, which can lead to errors and difficulties in data retrieval. This study aims to design and develop a web-based library information system to assist in managing book collections and lending processes at the school. The system was built using PHP programming language with the Laravel framework and tested using Black Box Testing and the System Usability Scale (SUS). The testing results showed that all features functioned properly and the system achieved a SUS score of 82, indicating excellent usability. This system is expected to help library staff record and manage data in a more organized and computerized manner.
