Abstract
The background of this research departs from the low career planning experienced by class X TPM students at SMK Gamaliel 1 Madiun. This study aims to determine the influence of group guidance services with career pocket media in improving the career planning of grade X students of TPM SMK Gamaliel 1 Madiun in 2024/2025. This study uses a quantitative approach with a one-group pre-test post-test design experimental method. The population of this study consisted of class X TPM with a total of 38 students, the sample was determined using the purposive sampling method so that 8 samples were found in this study. The instrument used was a career planning questionnaire. The data was processed and analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank-test. Based on the results of the calculation of pre-test and post-test scores from 8 students, it is known that the total score of the career planning level before treatment was 297 and after treatment increased to 594. Thus there was an increase in the score of 297 points. If calculated in percentage terms, the average increase in students' career planning rates is 50%. The hypothesis results using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test are known to be Asymp values. Sig (2-tailed) is 0.012 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it is shown that group guidance services with career pocket media are influential in improving the career planning of students in class X of TPM SMK Gamaliel 1 Madiun. The implications of this research can be used by bk teachers as an initial assessment in improving students' understanding of various career options and assisting them in more mature and targeted career planning.
