Abstract
This study aims to determine whether there is an effectiveness of the Discovery Learning learning model based on Educaplay media on student learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative approach. The type of research used is pre-experimental. The research design used is one-group-pretest-posttest-design. This design was chosen because it only involves one class, namely the experimental class, which will be given an initial test (pretest) and an evaluation test (posttest) after being given treatment using the Discovery Learning learning model based on Educaplay media. The population in this study were fifth-grade students of SDN Dimong 03. The sample taken was all fifth-grade students of SDN Dimong 03, totaling 18 students. The sampling technique used saturated sampling, so the entire population was used as a sample. Data collection techniques used pretest and posttest. Data analysis techniques used prerequisite tests (normality tests) and hypothesis tests (paired sample t-test). The test results obtained a difference from the pretest average of 73.05 and a higher posttest average value of 90.00. This can be proven by the results of the hypothesis, it was found that sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05 so that H_a is accepted and H_0 is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model based on Educaplay Media on the science learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students.
