Abstract
Rinda. 2025. The Use of Problem-Based Learning Model Assisted by Geometric Net Pull Board (PTJG) Media to Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Elementary School. Thesis. Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisors: (I) Vivi Rulviana, S.Pd., M.Pd., (II) Hartini, S.Sn., M.Pd. Confidence in expressing opinions is an essential trait that students must possess to support academic achievement. Interpersonal communication is one of the skills that can foster confidence in expressing ideas. In addition, peer interaction also plays a role in supporting students' self-confidence. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology. The study involved a population of 6 students. Data were collected using observation, tests, and interviews. The research focused on improving the mathematics performance of fifth-grade students at SDN Pulerejo 02, Madiun Regency, particularly in understanding geometric nets, by employing a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach supported by the Geometric Net Pull Board (PTJG) as a learning aid. The study was conducted over two cycles. Data collection methods included learning assessments, observation, interviews, and documentation, which were then analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The findings revealed that the application of the PBL approach, supported by PTJG media, led to significant improvements in student engagement and understanding. The completion rate of the learning approach reached nearly 100%, with the students' average performance increasing from 56.67 before any intervention to 75 in the first cycle, and 81.67 in the second cycle. In conclusion, the use of the PBL approach assisted by the PTJG tool has proven effective in enhancing mathematics learning outcomes while fostering a more active and meaningful educational experience. Keywords: Problem-Based Learning, Interactive Learning, PTJG Media, Spatial Nets.
