Abstract
This study aims to improve the cognitive abilities of fifth-grade students using the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model assisted by Wordwall media at SDN Krebet 02. This type of research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data analysis used includes quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Implemented in 2 cycles. The research subjects were fifth-grade students with a total of 10 students located at SDN Krebet 02. The instruments used consisted of tests, observation sheets, and documentation. Initial data when learning was still carried out with the lecture method, students' cognitive abilities still had an average of 53 with a percentage of completion of 30%. In cycle I, data on students' cognitive abilities were obtained with an average of 68 and a percentage of completion of 60%. In cycle II, an average learning outcome was obtained of 78 with a percentage of completion of 90%. The results of observations in cycle I, students were still seen as not being conducive to learning, not yet accustomed to using Wordwall media, the results of teacher observations had implemented learning according to the teaching module. The results of the second cycle observation showed that students were accustomed to using Wordwall media and the Contextual Teaching and Learning model, learning was conducive, and teachers were able to condition the class well. The factor of students achieving mastery was due to a greater understanding after the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model assisted by Wordwall media. After the application of appropriate models and media, students appeared more enthusiastic and had an understanding of the material being taught. It can be said that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model assisted by Wordwall media on the fifth grade spatial geometry material can improve students' cognitive abilities.
