Abstract

Currently, the processing of heir declaration letters in Kartoharjo District, Madiun City, is still performed manually using logbooks, with physical files subsequently stored in an archive room. This method has several drawbacks, including the risk of data redundancy, difficulty in retrieving archives, and the potential for file loss. Furthermore, the processing of these letters requires service staff to travel to the District Office to consult on the validity and conformity of submitted documents. This situation is considered inefficient as it consumes time, effort, and transportation costs, while also requiring staff to leave their offices during service hours. This study employs the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which comprises three stages: Requirement Planning, System Design, and Implementation. The outcome of this research is a website-based electronic information system for heir declaration letters in Kartoharjo District, Madiun. The study concludes that the implementation of this system renders the management process for heir declaration letters more effective, efficient, and integrated. It enables simultaneous access by multiple users, facilitates data retrieval, accelerates report generation, reduces data redundancy, and allows for access anytime and anywhere via computers, laptops, or mobile phones.
