Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline and Generation Z work behavior on employee work motivation at a railway company in East Java. A quantitative approach with a causal-associative design was employed. The study population consisted of 90 respondents selected using the saturated sampling technique. Data were collected via questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. The results indicate that work discipline has a positive and significant partial effect on work motivation. Generation Z work behavior also has a positive and significant effect on work motivation and serves as the most dominant factor influencing employee motivation. Furthermore, simultaneous testing demonstrates that work discipline and Generation Z work behavior collectively have a significant effect on employee work motivation. The coefficient of determination indicates that these two independent variables explain 71.4% of the variation in work motivation, while the remainder is influenced by factors outside the research model.
