Abstract

Awalul Roziqqi. 2026. Development of a Short Story Writing Module Using the Experiential Learning Method for 11th Grade High School/Islamic Senior High School Students. Thesis. Madiun: Master's Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: (I) Dr. Dwi Setiyadi, M.M., (II) Dr. Ramadhan Prasetya Wibawa, M.Pd. Keywords: Short Story Writing, Module, and Experiential Learning Approach. The objectives of this research are (1) to produce a short story writing module based on the experiential learning method for 11th grade high school/Islamic senior high school students and (2) to test and describe the feasibility of the short story writing module based on the experiential learning method developed based on the input of subject matter experts, and high school/Islamic senior high school students. The research method refers to the Borg and Gall research and development method which includes 1) potential and problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) design validation, 5) design improvement, 6) product trial, and 7) final product revision. This research was conducted through observation, interviews, and questionnaire distribution at MA Walisongo located in Pucanganom, Kebonsari, Madiun. Validation of the product design was carried out by relevant experts/specialists, then tested on high school/Islamic high school students. The results of this study indicate that the experiential learning short story writing learning module was developed in three stages, namely research and information collection, module creation planning, and module development. The experiential learning short story writing learning module for MA students obtained an average feasibility level of 84,8%. Thus, the module was declared "suitable for use".
