Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and students' responses to the use of TikTok Edukasi in teaching descriptive text writing at MTs Ma'arif 1 Ponorogo. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through classroom observations, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the learning activities were systematically planned by integrating TikTok Edukasi as an instructional medium. The implementation of learning was carried out in accordance with the lesson plan and created a more interactive learning environment, which enhanced students' motivation, participation, creativity, and understanding in composing descriptive texts. Students also responded positively to the use of TikTok Edukasi, perceiving it as an engaging, accessible, and contextually relevant learning medium. Supporting factors included teachers' readiness, the availability of digital devices, stable internet connectivity, and students' enthusiasm, while inhibiting factors involved limited internet access, insufficient devices, and the varying levels of students' digital literacy. Overall, TikTok Edukasi proved to be an effective, innovative, and contextual learning medium for teaching descriptive text writing.
