The Implementation of Social-Emotional Learning Through Role-Playing to Improve Empathy and Cooperation among Group B Children at LKMD Pandean III Kindergarten, Taman District, Madiun City. Master's Thesis. Madiun: Master's Program in Social Science Education, Graduate School, PGRI Madiun University. Supervisors: (I) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hanif, M.M., M.Pd.; (II) Dr. Yudi Hartono, M.Pd. Keywords—Social-Emotional Learning, Empathy, Cooperation Abstract— Background: This research is initiated by the critical i need to develop social emotional aspects from an early age, particulary in fostering empathy and cooperative skills, which are frequently underdevelpment in young learners.Objective: This study aims to enhance empathy and coorporation among group B children at TK LKMD Pandean III Taman District Madiun City, through the implementation of social emotional learning (SEL). Methods: Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, actomg, observeng, and reflecting phases. Data collection techniques involved participatory observation and documentation of children’s activities. Results: Indicated a significant improvement in the children’s empathy and cooperative behaviors following the integration of SEL based on group activities and role-playing. The children demonstrated greater care toward peers and successfully completed collaborative tasks. Conclusion: That the implementation of social-emotional learning is highly effective in upgrading social-emotional competence, specifically emparhy and collaboration, among children at TK LKMD Pandean III.
