Reyhan Bagus Pramudita. 2026. The Effectiveness of Group Guidance Services Using Mind Mapping Media in Enhancing Career Planning among Grade XII Students at SMAN 1 Jiwan, Madiun Regency. Career planning is a crucial skill for students when deciding on further education or employment that aligns with their potential. Observations and interviews at SMAN 1 Jiwan revealed that some students still exhibit low levels of career planning, characterized by a lack of understanding regarding their own potential, insufficient information about further education and the workforce, and an inability to determine the appropriate steps to achieve their career goals. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services utilizing mind mapping as a medium to enhance the career planning of Grade XII students at SMAN 1 Jiwan. The study employs a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The population consisted of 30 Grade XII students at SMAN 1 Jiwan, while the sample comprised 7 students selected via purposive sampling based on their low career planning levels. The instrument used was a career planning questionnaire that had passed validity and reliability testing, yielding a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.907. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with the aid of IBM SPSS Statistics version 25 software. The results indicate an increase in career planning scores following the provision of group guidance services using mind mapping. Hypothesis testing results showed an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of less than 0.05; consequently, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted. Thus, group guidance services utilizing mind mapping proved effective in enhancing the career planning of Grade XII students at SMAN 1 Jiwan. This improvement is evident in the students' ability to recognize their own potential, comprehend information regarding further education and the workforce, define career goals, and formulate more focused steps toward achieving their aspirations.
