Abstract
This study aimed to improve the narrative writing skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Bendungan, Kudu District, Jombang Regency, in the 2025/2026 academic year through the implementation of the Think Talk Write (TTW) method assisted by serial picture media. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 33 students. Data were collected through observation, tests, documentation, and field notes, and were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the TTW method assisted by serial picture media improved students' learning participation, ability to develop ideas, organize story sequences coherently, select appropriate vocabulary, and apply correct spelling and punctuation. This improvement was reflected in the increase in the mean score from 67.12 in the pre-cycle to 78.03 in Cycle I and 86.06 in Cycle II, while the percentage of learning mastery increased from 27.27% in the pre-cycle to 69.70% in Cycle I and successfully met the predetermined success criteria in Cycle II. Therefore, the Think Talk Write (TTW) method assisted by serial picture media proved to be effective in improving students' narrative writing skills and can serve as an alternative approach to creating active, collaborative, and meaningful Indonesian language learning.
