Abstract

Informatics Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisor (I) Fatim Nugrahanti, S.T., M.T. (II) Yoga Prisma Yuda, S.Kom., M.Kom. The process of selecting and booking tour packages at Travel Majapraya Rent is still carried out manually, where customers must contact the admin directly to inquire about package availability, resulting in a time-consuming process, susceptibility to recording errors, and difficulty for customers in finding tour packages that match their preferences. This research aims to design, implement, and test a Website-Based Tour Package Selection System for Travel Majapraya Rent to address these issues. The system development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), with system modeling using Unified Modeling Language (UML) including Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, and Sequence Diagrams. The system is designed for two user roles, namely Admin and Customer, built using the Laravel framework with the MVC pattern and a MySQL database, and integrated with the Midtrans payment gateway to support automatic payment processing and transaction verification. The system is able to present tour package options based on price, duration, and destination type preferences, process bookings, and automatically print e-tickets. Black Box Testing on 19 system modules produced 119 test scenarios with a 100% Valid success rate, while System Usability Scale (SUS) testing on 23 respondents obtained an average score of 75.8, which falls into the Good category with an Acceptable level of acceptance. These results prove that all system functionalities have run according to requirements and are easy for users to use, so that the system is able to replace the manual tour package selection and booking process with a more efficient, structured, and automated process Keywords: System Design, Tour Package Selection System, Website, Rapid Application Development, Black Box Testing, System Usability Scale
