Abstract
Slow learning students at SD Negeri Sumbersari 01, Madiun Regency, demonstrate a limited understanding of non-academic discipline values, evidenced by behaviors such as arriving late, failing to wait their turn in an orderly manner, not adhering to dress codes, littering, and not being accustomed to retrieving and returning items to their proper places. These conditions highlight the need for services that are engaging and tailored to the characteristics of slow-learning students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services utilizing digital animation media in enhancing the understanding of non-academic discipline values among slow-learning students at SD Negeri Sumbersari 01, Madiun Regency. The study employed an experimental method using a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of six slow-learning students selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire on non-academic discipline values, covering indicators such as completing teacher-assigned tasks, wearing the prescribed uniform, waiting one's turn in an orderly manner, disposing of trash properly, and retrieving and returning items to their designated places. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with the aid of SPSS version 22 software. The results indicate that following the group counseling intervention using digital animation media, there was an improvement in the understanding of non-academic discipline values among all research subjects. The mean pretest score of 113.17 rose to 139.67 in the posttest, representing an average increase of 23.60%. The Wilcoxon test results showed a significance value of less than 0.05, leading to the acceptance of the research hypothesis. Thus, it can be concluded that group counseling services utilizing digital animation media are effective in enhancing the understanding of non-academic discipline values among slow-learning students at SD Negeri Sumbersari 01, Madiun Regency.
