Abstract
This study aims to develop and examine the feasibility of a local wisdom-based e-book for poetry writing instruction among fourth-grade elementary school students. The study was based on students’ difficulties in generating ideas, selecting diction, composing stanzas, and expressing ideas creatively. The limited use of learning media also reduced students’ interest and engagement in poetry writing activities. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were fourth-grade students of SDIT Al Banna, Pacitan. Data were collected through observation, interviews, expert validation questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. The developed product was a local wisdom-based e-book that integrated poetry writing materials with elements of local wisdom, such as regional culture, traditional foods, traditional games, and local community activities. The results showed that the e-book had a very high level of feasibility. The material and language expert validation obtained 81.33%, categorized as highly feasible, while the media expert validation obtained 93.75%, also categorized as highly feasible. The implementation results showed that the student response reached 87.28% and the teacher response reached 91.42%, both categorized as very good. These findings indicate that the local wisdom-based e-book is feasible, attractive, interactive, and contextual for supporting poetry writing instruction in elementary schools.
