Abstract

This study aims to develop a website-based learning medium called “PIKA” using the discovery learning model, to determine the medium’s feasibility, and to assess teachers’ and students’ responses to the developed medium. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes the Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research subjects consisted of 16 second-grade students at SDN Truneng. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive percentage analysis. The results showed that the media received a validation percentage of 95.4% from media experts and 92.1% from subject matter and language experts, falling into the “highly feasible” category. Teacher response rates were 91.6% and student response rates were 97%, both falling into the “very good” category, while the learning evaluation results reached 90%. Thus, the “PIKA” media, based on discovery learning, is suitable for use as an alternative Indonesian language learning medium to support increased learning interest among elementary school students.
