Abstract

This study aimed to improve the understanding of Science and Social Studies (IPAS) concepts among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Klagenserut 01 through the implementation of the Cooperative Learning model using the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) type assisted by the PANDAIPlus platform. This study employed a mixed methods approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The participants consisted of 13 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the mean score of students' concept understanding increased from 71.08 in the pre-cycle to 77.38 in Cycle I and 86.54 in Cycle II. Classical learning completeness also increased from 30.77% in the pre-cycle to 61.54% in Cycle I and reached 100% in Cycle II. In addition, students' participation and collaboration in the learning process improved in each cycle. Therefore, the implementation of the STAD Cooperative Learning model assisted by the PANDAIPlus platform successfully improved the understanding of IPAS concepts among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Klagenserut 01.
