Improving Beginning Reading Skills Using the Structural Analytical Synthetic Method Assisted by Letter Card Media in Grade I Students of SDN Kuniran 2, Purwosari District, Bojonegoro Regency. Theses. Keywords: reading, beginning, synthetic analytical structural, and letter cards. This study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of the synthetic analytical structural method assisted by letter card media can improve early reading skills in class I SDN Kuniran 2, Purwosari District, Bojonegoro Regency, and (2) the learning outcomes of class I students of SDN Kuniran 2, Purwosari District, Bojonegoro Regency in early reading learning using the synthetic analytical structural method assisted by letter card media. This study is a classroom action research using three cycles. The results of this study are (1) the application of the synthetic analytical structural method assisted by letter card media can improve early reading skills in class I SDN Kuniran 2, Purwosari District, Bojonegoro Regency. This is evidenced by the increase in teacher and student activities. In the implementation of cycle I, the average value of teacher activity obtained was 3.25, then in the implementation of cycle II, the average value of teacher activity increased to 3.5 and in the implementation of cycle III, the average value of teacher activity obtained was 3.6. Student activity in cycle I got an average value of 3.4. In cycle II the average value of student activity was 3.54 and in cycle III the average value of student activity was 3.57, and (2) Student learning outcomes increased in each cycle. In the implementation of the learning process in cycle I, there were 5 students who achieved the KKM, and an average score of 60.45 was obtained with a percentage of 45.45%. In the implementation of the action in cycle II, there were 7 students who achieved the KKM with an average score of 71.36 with a percentage of 63.63% and in the implementation of cycle III, there were 10 students who achieved the KKM with an average score of 74.09 with a percentage of 90.90%.
