Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of Social Studies (IPS) learning outcomes among fifth-grade students through the Group Investigation model assisted by Visual Media. This research employed a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of the study were 15 fifth-grade students at SDN 4 Gelangkulon. Data collection techniques included observation and tests. Data analysis utilized descriptive statistics, calculating averages and percentages by inventorying and integrating all information obtained from each cycle. This research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. The results showed an improvement in learning outcomes, as evidenced by the percentage of students achieving the Learning Objective Completeness Criteria (KKTP). The achievement rose from 17.5% in the pre-cycle to 64.71% in Cycle I, and further increased to 82.35% in Cycle II. The impact of this improvement was observed in the enhancement of students' knowledge, attitudes, and skills. In conclusion, the Group Investigation model effectively improves student learning outcomes. Keywords: Investigation Model, Visual Media, Learning Outcomes
