Abstract
MARIATUL ULFA. 2025. Improving the Learning Outcomes of Grade 1 Students at SDN 4 Drenges in the Indonesian Language Subject on the Topic of Arranging Words into Simple Sentences through the Implementation of Differentiated Instruction Academic Year 2025/2026. Thesis. Madiun: Master’s Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Graduate School, PGRI University of Madiun. Advisors: Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, S.S., M.Pd.; Co-advisors Dr. Kodrat Eko Putro Setiawan, M.Pd. Keywords: Indonesian Language Learning Outcomes, Differentiated Instruction. This study aims to obtain a clear description of Indonesian language learning outcomes on the topic of arranging words into simple sentences through differentiated instruction among first-grade students at SD Negeri 4 Drenges, Kertosono District. The type of research employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR). According to Arikunto (2008:74), this research consists of four commonly implemented stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. During the initial observation of Indonesian language learning, an appropriate instructional model had not yet been applied for the students. Based on the pre-cycle data, 41% (10 students) had achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC), while 59% (14 students) had not yet met the criteria. The study was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. After the implementation of actions in Cycle I, student learning outcomes showed improvement, with 50% (12 students) demonstrating progress, while the remaining 50% (12 students) had not yet achieved the MMC. In Cycle II, student learning outcomes increased significantly, with 87% (21 students) achieving the MMC and only 13% (3 students) not yet meeting the criteria.
