The Implementation of Project-Based Learning Model Assisted by Gallery Walk Media to Improve Students’ Critical Thinking Skills and Learning Outcomes in Social Studies at SMP Negeri 1 Madiun. Thesis. Madiun: Master’s Program of Social Studies Education, Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisors: (I) Dr. Sudarmiani, M.Pd., (II) Dr. Yudi Hartono, M.Pd. Keywords: Project-Based Learning (PjBL), Gallery Walk Media, Critical Thinking Skills, Learning Outcomes This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by Gallery Walk media in improving students’ critical thinking skills and learning outcomes in Social Studies for Grade IXE students at SMP Negeri 1 Madiun. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a reflective qualitative approach conducted in two cycles. The research participants consisted of a Social Studies teacher and Grade IXE students. Data were collected through observation and learning outcome tests using learning instruments, student worksheets, project assessments, critical thinking observation sheets, and achievement tests. Data were analyzed using mixed methods through source triangulation. The results indicate that the implementation of the PjBL model assisted by Gallery Walk media improved students’ critical thinking skills across all aspects, namely interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation. In addition, students’ learning outcomes in Social Studies also increased, as shown by the improvement in the class average score from 72.38 in Cycle I to 79.75 in Cycle II and the increase in classical mastery from 31.25% to 87.50%. These findings confirm that the Project-Based Learning model assisted by Gallery Walk media is effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills and learning outcomes.
