Abstract

ABSTRACT Hermin Sulistyawati . 2025. Improvement Character Concern Social and Tolerance With Using the ASANTI EMOTAN Model for YWKA Madiun Kindergarten Students . Thesis. Madiun: Master of Social Science Education Study Program, Postgraduate Faculty, PGRI Madiun University. Supervisors (I) Prof. Dr. H. Parji, M.Pd. (II) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hanif, MM, M.Pd. Keywords : Group B Students, Concern Social, Tolerance, ASANTI EMOTAN Model. This study aims to improve the character of social awareness and tolerance of Group B students of YWKA Madiun Kindergarten by using the ASANTI EMOTAN Model. The study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, and was implemented in two cycles, each of which went through the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation and documentation, and analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study showed that the use of the ASANTI EMOTAN Model can improve the character of social awareness and tolerance of students. Classically, the character of social awareness increased from 20% in the pre-cycle to 46% in the first cycle and significantly increased to 87% in the second cycle. Meanwhile, the character of tolerance also increased from 26% in the pre-cycle to 53% in the first cycle and reached 87% in the second cycle. This increase exceeded the established performance indicators, which were 80% for the character of social awareness and 74% for the character of tolerance. Thus, the ASANTI EMOTAN model is proven to be able to improve the character of social awareness and tolerance for Group B students of YWKA Madiun Kindergarten.
