Abstract
This study aims to describe (1) the implementation of narrative writing learning using the Cooperative Integrated And Composition (CIRC) method with picture media for class VI students of SDN 1 Kalianyar, Kertosono District, Nganjuk Regency, (2) assessment of descriptive paragraph writing learning using the Cooperative Integrated And Composition (CIRC) method with visual media for class VI students of SDN 1 Kalianyar, Kertosono District, Nganjuk Regency, (3) obstacles in descriptive paragraph writing learning using the Cooperative Integrated And Composition (CIRC) method with visual media for class VI students of SDN 1 Kalianyar, Kertosono District, Nganjuk Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques in this study are through observation, interviews, and documentation. The technique used to analyze data in this study is the interactive model from Miles and Huberman. The results of this study, namely (1) the implementation of narrative writing learning using the cooperative integrated and composition (CIRC) method with picture media for grade VI students of SDN 1 Kalianyar, Kertosono District, Nganjuk Regency has gone as planned, namely enjoyable learning and taking place as expected, namely good and conducive, because the teacher uses the CIRC method correctly and the teacher uses language that is easy for students to understand, 2) student grades have improved. This is evidenced by the increase in student grades which shows that the grades before and after the CIRC learning method is applied are very different. Student grades when the CIRC method has been applied can obtain grades above the KKM or the average for the Indonesian language subject, which is 75, even student grades are classified as very satisfactory and exceed the grades before the CIRC method was applied, and 3) Obstacles faced by teachers in the form of inadequate facilities, such as LCD projectors are not available in all classes so that it is a little difficult for teachers if they want to use learning media that requires the use of LCD Projectors and if they want to use the learning media they have to take turns with other classes. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced by students are internal factors within the students themselves and external factors in the environment.
