Abstract

An effective learning process plays a crucial role in improving student learning outcomes. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in the Fundamentals of Accounting subject through the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model in Grade X Banking Services at SMK Cendekia, Madiun City, in the 2024/2025 academic year. The initial problem faced was low learning achievement, with only 33% of students meeting the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) of 80. The study used a quantitative approach in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. Each cycle included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were six 10th-grade students. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation, using instruments that had been tested for validity, reliability, difficulty level, and discriminatory power. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively using the N-Gain calculation. The NHT model was implemented through the stages of numbering members, providing questions, group discussions, and random assignment to answer. As a result, there was an increase in students' average scores from 62.5 (pre-cycle), to 75 (cycle I), and 88 (cycle II). Learning completion increased from 33% to 100%. The N-Gain score also showed an increase, from the low-medium to the medium-high category. This proves that the NHT model is effective in improving student learning outcomes.
