Abstract

Hisyam Taufiqul Hakim.2025. Implementation of the Think Talk Write (TTW) Cooperative Model Assisted by Flashcard Media to Improve Learning Activities and Poetry Writing Skills of Fourth Grade Students at SDN Gunungsari Madiun. Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, FKIP, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisor I: Dr. Heny Kusuma Widyaningrum, M.Pd, Supervisor II: Dr. Nur Samsiyah, M.Pd. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) that aims to improve learning activities and poetry writing skills of fourth grade students of SDN Gunungsari through the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) cooperative learning model assisted by flashcard media. The problems that underlie this research are the lack of models that support the learning process of poetry writing skills, students have not been able to compose poetry, students' difficulties in expressing ideas, thoughts, and imagination to compose a thesis, low active participation of students in learning Indonesian and the lack of students' ability in writing. This research was conducted in two cycles with each cycle consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 18 fourth-grade students of Gunungsari Elementary School. Data collection techniques used observation, poetry writing skills tests, and documentation. The results of the study showed an increase in student learning activities from the pre-cycle to cycle I and cycle II. In the pre-cycle stage, the percentage of completeness was 16% with an average value of 48.88. In the cycle I stage, the percentage increased by 27% with an average value of 55.44. Furthermore, in the second cycle stage, the score increased to 88% with an average score of 86.66. Similarly, students' poetry writing skills increased, indicated by an increase in the average class score and the number of students who achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), namely 70. Thus, the application of the TTW cooperative learning model assisted by flashcard media has proven effective in improving learning activities and poetry writing skills of fourth-grade students of Gunungsari Elementary School.
