Abstract

Learning Management System (LMS) is an alternative digital media technology that can provide a creative and innovative learning process. The use of LMS will certainly make students more interactive and communicative so that student learning participation will also be high. MIN 01 Madiun City is one of the SD/MI levels that uses LMS in learning. However, in implementing LMS or E-Learning at MIN 01 Madiun City, some parties feel that the implementation of e-learning after the pandemic is quite effective in increasing student learning participation in the classroom. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of Moodle-based Learning Management System on student learning participation of MIN 01 Madiun City. This research applies a quantitative approach. The type of research used in this study is a survey with a quantitative descriptive approach. The research was conducted in eight classes, namely classes 6A, 6B, 6C, 6D, 6E, 6F, 6G, and 6H. The total population was 247 students while the number of research samples was 153 students referring to the Slovin formula. Sampling was carried out using simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire method. The result of the t value is 43.217 which is greater than the t table which is 1.9 and is supported by a significance value of 0.000 < alpha (0.05). Therefore, H1 is accepted so that there is a significant influence or effectiveness of the application of the Moodle-based Learning Management System on student learning participation. Based on the results of statistical tests, the results show that the coefficient of determination or R2 = 0, 925 or 92.5%, which means that the effectiveness of the application of the Moodle-based Learning Management System on student learning participation is 92.5%.
