Abstract
The challenge of 21st century education is that students are expected to be able to hone their critical thinking skills and metacognitive abilities in solving problems. In this case, strategies are needed in the learning process, one of which is through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. Based on the results of observations at SMA Negeri 1 Pule, students' critical thinking skills and metacognitive abilities are still not optimal. This research aims to improve students' critical thinking skills by developing e-modules, and aims to determine the validity and practicality of e-modules. This type of research is Research and Development (RnD) using a 4D model to develop e-modules based on Reflective Metacognitive Project Based Learning (RM-PjBL) on circulatory system material. The population of this study was class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Pule, totaling 171 students. The sample for this research was class XI-5 students, totaling 35 people. The techniques used in the research include interviews, documentation, filling out validation questionnaires by material experts and media experts, as well as filling out student response questionnaires. The results of this research are that the RM-PjBL e-module can improve students' critical thinking skills by implementing projects. The e-module validation results were declared very valid and very suitable for use with an average percentage value of 92% from material experts, and an average percentage value of 93% from media experts. The results of the e-module practicality test were stated to be very practical to use with an average percentage score of 86% in the very good category and very practical criteria.
