Abstract

Ary, (2024) Improving Social Sciences Learning Outcomes Through Outdoor Learning Methods Assisted by Audio Visual Media for Class IV Students at SDN 1 Baosan Lor, Ngrayun District, Ponorogo Regency, Master of Social Sciences Education Study Program, Postgraduate Program, PGRI Madiun University. Supervisor (1) Dr. Sudarmiani, M.Pd, (2) Dr. Ibadullah Malawi M.Pd Keywords : Learning outcomes, outdoor learning, audio visual The background of the research is the low learning outcomes of students in science and science subject content at SD Negeri 1 Baosan Lor, Ngrayun District, Ponorogo Regency, indicating that students' learning completeness in one class is less than 50% which reaches the minimum completeness criteria, namely 75. This is caused by the learning process which is less interesting because the teacher has not used varied learning methods. This research aims to determine whether or not the use of outdoor learning methods with the help of audio-visual media can improve science learning outcomes in class IV students at SD Negeri 1 Baosan Lor, Ngrayun District, Ponorogo Regency. This research is classroom action research. This research was carried out by teachers in the classroom or at the school where they teach, with an emphasis on perfecting or improving practices and processes in learning, applying the outdoor learning method with the help of audio-visual media through two cycles, and each cycle consists of 4 activity stages, namely (1 ) planning (2) implementation (3) observation (4) reflection The results achieved in this research by using the outdoor learning method with the assistance of audio visual media showed that before the action or pre-cycle of 34 students, 16 or 47.05% of students had completed the study and 18 or 52, 94% of students had not yet completed learning. . Then in cycles I and II, with the minimum completeness criteria set at 75, in cycle I the students who had not completed their studies were 4 students or 11.76% (obtained scores < KKM), while the students who had completed their studies were 30 people or 88.24% (obtained scores < KKM), while in cycle II the number of students who had not completed their studies was 1 student or 2.94% (obtained scores < KKM), while students who had completed their studies were 33 students or 97.05% ( score obtained > KKM), this means that using the outdoor learning method with the help of audio-visual media on plant body parts and their functions, learning completeness has increased by 8.81%
