In the pre-cycle action only 33.33% of students achieve mastery learning, after there is action in cycle I, students who achieve mastery learning are 50%. There are obstacles during implementation, including; a) student activity in learning is still lacking; b) some students have not actively responded to the teacher; c) students' attention to the media images presented is also lacking; d) student participation in group work is still low. In cycle II, the average score of students reached 78.58 with a classical completeness of 100%. Teachers and students are familiar with the learning steps. The teacher's skills in teaching the material to students look better. In working on evaluation questions, students are more confident and work independently. 2) IT-based image media plays a very important role in improving the quality of student activities during learning. The quality of student learning activities is measured through 5 (five) indicators, namely (1) student readiness in participating in learning; (2) listening to the teacher's explanation and actively responding to the teacher's explanation/question; (3) students' attention to the IT-based image media presented; (4) student participation in group work; and (5) students' attitudes during learning. The results obtained from observations of student activities during the implementation of Cycle I and Cycle II showed that there was an increase in the five indicators. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of IT-based image media can improve the quality of student activities during the learning of simple essay writing skills for third grade students of SDN Karangrejo 3, Kendal District, Ngawi Regency in the 2023/2024 academic year. 3) Constraints faced by students, especially those related to the ability to write essays well. This happens because the students do not practice writing well. The inability of these students is due to several reasons due to the inability of children to use inappropriate diction, writing sentences that are not appropriate, writing text structures that are not appropriate, writing spellings that are not appropriate. The solutions to the constraints mentioned above include the need for students who have good IT media understanding skills, and must also be balanced with good essay writing exercises, and teachers can provide conducive learning facilities, so as to create a pleasant learning climate for students.
