Abstract
This research focuses on developing an expert-based system website, to diagnose online gaming addiction using the method Forward Chaining. This system is designed to help teenagers aged 12 - 25 years in identifying the level of online game addiction they experience. By using symptom data input by the user, this system will provide diagnostic results that categorize addiction into three levels: mild, moderate and severe. The aim of this research is to minimize doubts in determining the diagnosis of online gaming addiction, as well as preventing the development of more severe addiction. This system is expected to be an effective tool for users and parents in understanding and overcoming the problem of online game addiction. This research was carried out using the system development method Waterfall which includes the stages of analysis, design, implementation and system testing. The results of this research show that the expert system built is able to provide accurate and reliable diagnoses. System testing was carried out involving teenage users and the results showed a satisfactory level of accuracy in diagnosing online game addiction.
