Abstract
ABSTRACT Danyk, (2024). The Use of Augmented Reality (AR) Learning Media to Improve Engagement and Learning Outcomes in IPAS-IPS for Fifth Grade Students at SD Negeri 1 Josari, Jetis Subdistrict, Ponorogo Regency. Master of Social Science Education Program, Postgraduate Program, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: (1) Dr. Muhammad Hanif, M.M, M.Pd, (2) Dr. Sudarmiani, M.Pd. Keywords: Learning Engagement, IPAS-IPS Learning Outcomes, Augmented Reality Media The background of this research is the low participation of students in SD Negeri 1 Josari, Jetis Subdistrict, Ponorogo Regency, indicated by the large number of students who do not understand the subject matter delivered by the teacher and the students' lack of enthusiasm in asking questions. This is evident from the learning outcomes that have not reached 75% of the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). This issue is caused by the uninteresting learning process applied by the teacher. This research aims to determine whether the use of Augmented Reality (AR) learning media can improve engagement and learning outcomes in IPAS-IPS for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Josari, Jetis Subdistrict, Ponorogo Regency. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted by the teacher in the class or at the school where they teach, with an emphasis on improving practices and processes in learning by using Augmented Reality media through two cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages: planning the action, implementing the action, observing the action, and reflecting on the action. The results achieved in this research using Augmented Reality learning media show that in cycles I and II, as shown in table 4.20, if the KKM is set at 75, in cycle I, 6 students or 30% did not meet the KKM (score < KKM), while 14 students or 70% met the KKM (score ≥ KKM). In cycle II, 2 students or 10% did not meet the KKM (score < KKM), while 18 students or 90% met the KKM (score ≥ KKM). This means that with the use of Augmented Reality learning media in TP 6.3 and TP 6.4, there was an increase in completeness of 20%.
