Abstract
ABSTRACT Inas Dwi Nur Azizah. Implementation of the Use of Digital Media Based on Serial Images in the Reading Skills of Grade III Students of SDN Janggan. Elementary School Teacher Education Thesis, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisor (I) Dr. Ibadullah Malawi, M. Pd (II) Dr. Nur Samsiyah, M. Pd. This study aims to examine the implementation of the use of digital media based on serial images in improving the reading skills of grade III students at SDN Janggan. Digital media based on serial images was chosen as the focus because of its potential in increasing students' interest and understanding of reading materials. The research methods used were observation, interviews and tests for students' reading skills. The use of digital media based on serial images in reading skills can apply the use of digital media based on serial images for the reading skills of grade III students of SDN Janggan with the selection of interesting serial images and in accordance with the reading ability level of grade III students, can ensure that the images have a clear storyline and can be understood by students. The results of the study showed that the application of digital media based on serial images significantly improved the reading skills of grade III students of SDN Janggan. Students involved in learning using this media showed good improvements in text comprehension and reading skills compared to the control group. Keywords: Digital Media, Serial Images, Reading
