Abstract

This research was carried out because of the low learning scores of students in the Mathematics subject material on fractions for class 4 at SDN Bobol 1. This was known from the results of observations before the research and interviews with teachers and class 4 students as well as the results of daily scores. The cause of the problem is that teachers still use conventional methods in teaching, which makes students feel bored, find it difficult to absorb the material and think mathematics lessons are difficult. Of the 18 students, 12 students did not complete and 6 students completed. Among them were success in achieving the specified KKM, namely 75. Therefore, efforts to improve student learning outcomes can be done through using fraction board media in the learning process. The objectives of this research are: 1) To determine the use of fraction board media in improving mathematics learning outcomes for puzzle material in class 4 at SDN Bobol 1, Sekar Bojonego District. 2) Knowing the increase in mathematics learning outcomes regarding fractions through fraction boards in Class 4 SDN Bobol 1. The research method used is classroom action research. This research uses the Kurt Lewin model which consists of two cycles with four stages, namely, planning, action, observation, reflection . This research was carried out in class 4 at SDN Bobol I with a total of 10 students consisting of 10 boys and 8 girls. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, tests and documentation. The results of the research show that: 1) The use of puzzle media in improving Mathematics learning outcomes regarding fractions has been implemented well. It can be seen from the achievement of teacher activity scores in cycle I, namely 72.5 (fair), increasing to 82.5 (good) in cycle II. Meanwhile, student activity also increased in cycle I by 71.25 (fair) to 86.25 (very good) in cycle II. 2) Mathematics learning outcomes regarding fractions through puzzle media have increased. It can be seen from the increase in the percentage of student learning completeness in the pre-cycle 21.42% (poor), Cycle I 71.42% (fair), Cycle II 92.85% (very good). Keywords : Fractional Broad
