Abstract

The learning process at SDN Klangon 02 does not yet utilize the right learning model, students are often bored because the teacher delivers the material only using the lecture method. This research aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry model assisted by educative puzzle media on the learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students in mathematics lessons on fractions. The research locations used were SDN Klangon 02 and SDN Klangon 01, Saradan sub-district, Madiun Regency. This research was conducted from March to June 2024. The research design used is Quasi Experimental Design which will be used, namely Nonequvalent Control Group Design. The method used is the experimental method. The sampling technique in this research is simple random sampling. In this research, sample members from the population were taken randomly without paying attention to the strata in the population. The data collection techniques used in this research are tests and documentation. This research data was analyzed using statistical tests, namely normality test, homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test hypothesis test using IBM SPSS version 26 For Windows. Based on the results of the analysis, the average posttest score for the experimental class was 85.59 and the control class was 76.67. Research data was obtained from giving a posttest in the form of fraction questions and using t test analysis or independent sample t-test by obtaining a sig (2-tailed) < 0.05 (0.039 < 0.05) so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted Based on the results of the data research, it was concluded that there was an influence between the use of the guided inquiry model assisted by educative puzzle media compared to the lecture method on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students.
