Abstract

Deixis is a reference that moves depending on the situation of the speech. Songs are a medium that often uses deixis. One of the deixis found in song lyrics is in the Manusia Album by Tulus. Indonesian Language and Literature learning activities cannot be separated from speaking and writing to train students to be skilled in constructing sentences. This is in accordance with deixis research which can be used by students to understand meaning and improve writing and reading skills. The aim of this research is to describe the use of deixis in the Human Album and its use in learning at school. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The data collection technique used in this research is note taking. Meanwhile, the research instrument uses data cards. The analysis technique used is pragmatic analysis or based on a pragmatic point of view. Meanwhile, data validity uses theoretical triangulation. The results of this research found persona deixis, time deixis, place deixis, and discourse deixis. There were 240 personal deixis found, consisting of 111 first person personal deixis, 97 second person personal deixis, and 32 third person personal deixis. , you, -mu, you, you, he, and –nya. There were 18 forms of time deixis found. The forms of time deixis found were now, tonight, today and long ago. There were 22 place deixis found. The forms of place deixis found included the forms there, inside, under, to where, where, here, and beside. Meanwhile, there were 19 discourse deixis found. The forms of deixis found included this and that. The results of this research are used as teaching materials for learning Indonesian Language and Literature in junior high schools with text-based materials.
