Abstract

The study aims to analyze the effect of independence and digital literacy on students' understanding of mathematical concepts in class VII SMP Negeri 2 Madiun. The method used is quantitative. The population in the study amounted to 255 students with a sampling technique using simple random sampling of 156 students. This study used a questionnaire instrument of learning independence and digital literacy and a test of understanding of mathematical concepts of one variable linear equations material. The results of the study used multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 26.0 for windows to analyze the data. The results showed that (1) There is an influence of 77.3% between learning independence (X1) on understanding the concept of mathematics (Y). The higher the learning independence of students, the higher the level of understanding of students' mathematical concepts, (2) There is an influence of 0.1% between digital literacy (X2) on students' understanding of mathematical concepts (Y), and (3) There is an influence between learning independence and students' understanding of mathematical concepts of 79.2% with the regression line equation Y = 71, 062 + 0.130X1-0.026X2. The results of the analysis show that the correlation coefficient and regression coefficient are significant, proven through f count = 301.675> f table 3.06 with a significance of 0.00 <0.05, so there is an influence of learning independence and digital literacy on students' understanding of mathematical concepts.
