Abstract
This research aims to determine the significant influence of reading comprehension skills using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model with comic media on class IV students at SDN 02 Josenan for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research includes pre-experiments. The design of this research is one group pretest-protest design. The population of this research is all fourth grade students at SDN 02 Josenan, totaling 30 students. The research sample was taken, namely all students were used as research objects (saturated sample). The data collection method was carried out using a test method, namely an objective test instrument (multiple choice). The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and t-test inferential statistical analysis techniques. The results of the analysis show that the average reading comprehension skill score for students who used the CIRC learning model with comic media was 54.16 for the pretest score and after being given treatment the student score was higher, namely 86.5 for the posttest score. Hypothesis testing using the t-test shows that the two-tail P Value < Sig Alpha 0.05, namely 0.0000 < 0.05. The results of the research can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition) learning model with comic media on the reading comprehension skills of class IV students at SDN 02 Josenan.
