Abstract

The curriculum in Indonesia has undergone eleven changes. Starting from 1947 until now. The curriculum changes aim to improve the curriculum that has been implemented previously and to adapt to current developments. The current curriculum that is being implemented is the Independent Curriculum. The difference between the Merdeka Curriculum and the previous Curriculum is that there is project-based co-curricular learning to strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile character and soft skills, which is popularly known as P5 (Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project). P5 learning is a new innovation in the Merdeka Curriculum. P5 emerged to realize the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile character for each student through project-based learning. This research aims to determine the implementation of the Independent Curriculum P5 project activities in class 4 MIN 1 Madiun City. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Qualitative research is a research method based on the philosophy of postpositivism. Researchers are the main key in research. Where the research was carried out from February to June 2024 with the research location being MIN 1 Madiun City. The data obtained was obtained from observations, interviews and also documentation. As well as data sources obtained from primary and secondary data sources. To test the validity of the data, researchers used source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results of this research show that the implementation of the P5 class 4 project in MIN 1 Madiun City has been carried out well in accordance with the indicators that have been achieved in accordance with the P5 project guidebook. Even though the school has only implemented the Independent Curriculum in its first year, this has not been a problem or caused major obstacles. This happened because the school had made good preparations
