Abstract
In the 21st century, the world of education has challenges that students must face, one of which is being required to master six basic literacies. These six basic literacies are important for students, which of course students must master. The six literacies include language literacy, numeracy literacy, digital literacy, financial literacy, cultural and civic literacy, and scientific literacy. Of the six basic literacies, the most prioritized is numeracy skills, because numeracy skills are needed in all areas of life, such as bargaining, opening a business, building a house, and so on using numeracy skills. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using the joyful learning model assisted by articulate storyline on the numeracy abilities of class IV students. This research uses quantitative research using quasi-experimental research methods and using a nonequivalent control group design research design. The population and sample in this study were 28 students, including 14 students from class IV A and 14 students from class IV B. This research used tests to collect respondent data. The analysis technique used is the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. The sampling technique for this research uses saturated sampling, where this technique is used because the population is less than 30, so in this research it is said to be population research because the entire population is sampled. Researchers used paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test to analyze the data. The research results show that there is an influence of the joyful learning model assisted by articulate storyline media on the numeracy abilities of class IV students at SDN 01 Nambangan Kidul, Madiun City in the 2023/2024 academic year with t count (3.569) > t table (2.048).
