Abstract

Indah Maryuni. 2025.The following thesis is entitled "Efforts to Improve Science Learning Outcomes Through Experimental Methods Using Pop-Up Book Media for Class V Semester 2 Students at SD Negeri Paras 2 Academic Year 2023/2024". Primary School Teacher Education Study Program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. PGRI MADIUN UNIVERSITY. Supervisor (I) Dr. Endang Sri Maruti, M.Pd. (II) Fida Rahmantika Hadi, S.Pd., M.Pd. The achievement results of class V semester 2 students at SD Negeri Paras 2 are still very poor. This is proven by the number of students who reached the level of learning completeness of only 11 children out of the total number of students in 1 class which was 4 children. Meanwhile, the rest have not been completed or the percentage that reaches the completion limit is only 50%. With a completion limit of 70, this is not good. The main problem lies with the teachers and students, both in the methods applied, inactive students, the use of teaching aids and the lack of guidance for students who have weak memory limitations. Researchers used a classroom action research approach. Where data collection tools are used in the form of learning instruments, evaluation questions, teacher and student observations during learning. The research implementation was carried out in 2 cycles, with 2 meetings in each cycle. The results of the research showed that before the learning improvement, only 4 students out of 8 students (50%) had completed the KKM > 70. In the first cycle of learning improvements, students who completed KKM > 60 increased to 17 students (72.2%). And in the second cycle of learning improvements, students who completed KKM > 60 increased again to 8 students (100%). It turns out that the application of experimental methods and Pop-Up Book media can improve student learning achievement results. It is proven that class V students at SD Negeri Paras 2 experienced an increase in student learning achievement results. Keywords: Learning Media, Pop-Up Book, Learning Results
